"Mizz Green"
This is a wonderfully odd little frog doll I have named "Mizz Green". She is 14" tall. Mizz Green has deep, soulful, lidded deep brown glass eyes and pinch stitched mouth. Her face and body have been shaded and contoured with paint and artists pencils.There is a touch of blush on her cheeks. Her hair is chocolate brown hand dyed wool roving that has been needle felted into long pigtails adorned with rag ribbons that match her pantaloons. Her dress is deep cranbery homespun, with a brown print apron that features a crow and sunflower print. Stitched to her apron is a heart to match her dress and an old advertising button. Pantaloons complete the oufit. I have added a grungy tag to her arm with the words "Mizz Green" stamped on it....it is signed and dated on the back. In her arms (not attached) is a wonderful little bee. Quilted, shaded wings, striped body and painted head with those strange lidded eyes. I have also added wire antennea. "Mizz Green" would love to be part of your family, she's a little lonely and doesn't have a family of her own. This was the prototype for the pattern and jacket cover. These Primitive Frog Dolls are so oddly sweet! I have given these dolls alot of detail, from their artists shading to the deep soulful eyes drawn with artists pencils, each doll has a personality of it's own. I also am featuring dark green Frog Dolls with primitive "penny stitched" eyes and froggy hands and feet!
These dolls are approx. 11". They have been crafted out of homespun and have cute little dresses with matching pantaloons. Accesories like buttons, rusty bells, vintage key necklaces, bows, painted shoes and such will vary with each Frog. Some have a little tuft of hand dyed spun sheeps wool for hair!!!! The dolls have been weighted so they sit nicely. If you can find room in your heart and a place in your home, these sweet Froggies would love to become part of your family!
